Privacy notice · updated 30 September 2026

No personal data. Really.

PixelCortex has no accounts, no cookies, no ads and no tracking across sites. We count visits the way an arcade owner counts coins: how many, not who.

1. Anonymous page stats

When a page opens it sends one small "view" note, and when you leave or switch away it sends how long the page was in use. That is all. There is no identifier linking one page, visit or day to another.

WhatExampleWhy
Page/games/snake/which pages people visit
Where you came fromnews.ycombinator.com (the site only, never the page)how people find us
New visit or notcame from another site or typed the addressto count visits without IDs

Game eventsa match started (game + mode), the house rules were accepted or declined, a Laya model loaded (which one, from cache or not, GPU or CPU)which games and models people use

Our server adds, from the request itself: your country (worked out by our network provider at the edge), device type (phone, tablet or desktop), browser family and major version and operating system family (like "Chrome 141 on macOS"), and the hour of the day (UTC). It keeps nothing else from the request: the IP address and the full browser identification string are never stored. Automated browsers and bots are ignored.

2. Laya performance stats (opt-in)

Laya runs on your own machine. If you tick "share anonymous performance stats" (in the house rules, or later under Laya on this device → House rules & stats), each game sends a short report when you leave it, so we can see how each model runs on different hardware and pick better defaults. The house rules dialog shows the exact report before you decide, and afterwards the last report your device sent.

FieldMeaning
g, m, hgame, Laya model and model build
be, fbGPU (WebGPU) or CPU, and whether the GPU failed and Laya switched to the CPU
gv, gaGPU maker and family as your browser reports them to web pages (like apple / metal-3); coarse by design
th, iso, cpu, memCPU threads Laya used, whether multi-threading was available, CPU core count group (like 9-12) and memory group your browser reports
ldms, ldc, mbpshow long the model took to load, whether it came from your device's cache, and the download speed
n, p50, p90, p99, avghow many decisions Laya made and how many milliseconds they took
tok, bat, erraverage question size, batch size, and errors
ortthe version of the runtime (ONNX Runtime Web)

Reports never include what happened in your game, what Laya was asked or answered, or anything that identifies you. Untick the box at any time and nothing more is sent.

3. What stays on your device

The games keep some things in your browser, and they never leave it: the Laya models you downloaded, your answer to the house rules and the stats question, high scores and your Laya Lab results. Clear this site's data in your browser to remove them, or delete models under "Laya on this device".

4. Where it goes and for how long

Stats go to PixelCortex's own servers (Amazon Web Services, United States) and are used only to understand how the site and Laya are used. They are never sold, shared with advertisers or combined with other data. Individual notes are deleted automatically after 13 months; only totals (like "1,204 visits from New Zealand in October") are kept.

5. Turning it off

Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser and no page stats are sent. Laya performance stats are off unless you turn them on, and you can turn them off again whenever you like.
